Shirley Mae Mulkey, age 71, of Resaca, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016. She was born on November 13, 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mulkey; parents, Pete Stephens and Lou Chance; and a sister, Evelyn. She is survived by her son, Charles Mulkey of Resaca; daughter and son in law, Cheryl and Ibrahim Eladma of Calhoun; brother, Ricky Stephens of Dalton; sisters and brothers in law, April and Gary Parr of Dalton, Darlene and David Pickle of Chatsworth; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Shirley Mae Mulkey will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastors Ryan Sanford and Tim Sanford officiating. Interment will be at New Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM on Thursday evening.
