Sonia Porter English, age 50, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center. Sonia is survived by her son and daughter in law, James "Jim" Jr and Keisha English; daughter and son in law, Juli and Bradley Bain; father and bonus mother, Paul Sr and Evelyn Porter; mother, Linda Porter; brothers and sister in law, Paul Jr and Angie Porter and Phillip Porter; sister and brother in law, Vickie and Rob Campbell; granddaughter, Gracie Bain; Niece Haley Porter; and nephew Jon Paul Porter. Sonia was with her fiancé, Tim Ratcliff for 9 years and  accepted his family as her own, Allen and Joanie Ratcliff, Ashley Ratcliff, Cliff Cooper, Maria Cooper, Devin and Kaitlyn Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Blake Cooper and Richie Cooper. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Sonia Porter English will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brothers Raymond McCranie, Raymond English and Bruce Edwards officiating. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday evening.
