Mr. Stuart Fitzgerald Smith, age 53, of Dalton, GA. passed away on July 12, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1972. Mr. Smith is proceeding in death by his parents, Frank Edward Smith and Glena Ruth Babb Smith; sister, Melinda Sanchez; and brothers-in-law, Paul Knight and Troy Jones. Mr. Smith loves going to church and worshiping our Lord and Savior. He will be missed by all.

Stuart is survived by his brothers David Smith (Chalene), Bobby L. Smith (Tonya), and Jackie Smith (Samantha); sisters, Clara Rittenhouse (Bill), Marlene Blassingame (Jimmy Clark), Paulette Knight, and Anita Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Stewart Smith will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 4:30 pm at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for visitation on July 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Mr. Smith will be laid to rest at Faith and Deliverance Church Cemetery, 150 Tabernacle Rd. Resaca, Ga. 30735.
