Beverly "Sue" Mitchell, age 68, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. She was born on October 27, 1949 in Ohio. She later moved to Daytona Beach where she graduated from Mainland High School. Sue has lived in Dalton for over 30 years. Many people knew Sue as their waitress at Barnes Barn BBQ, West Walnut Café, The Oakwood Café, and as their bartender at the Piranha Lounge. Even after retiring, she still continued to cook for friends and family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Freda Ramey. She is survived by her father, William Ramey; daughter and son in law, Erlah and Shannon Sides; son and daughter in law, Eric and Melissa Blackwelder; brother, William Ramey, Jr.; sisters, Deborah Erb, Denise Coe, Mary Katherine Saufl; grandchildren, Mary Emma Blackwelder, Gavin Kain Blackwelder, Joshua Logan Sides and Payton Lee Sides. To celebrate the life of Beverly "Sue" Mitchell the family will be receiving friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Dalton Funeral Home.
