Sue Pangle Williamson, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at her residence in Rocky Face, Georgia. Born on March 31, 1934, in Dalton, Georgia, Sue’s life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and simple joys that will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her.
Sue was a woman of remarkable spirit, whose passion for gardening brought her immense joy. She found comfort among her flowers and plants, nurturing life with the same care and devotion she extended to her family and friends. Her love for cooking was legendary; she was an amazing cook whose meals were made with love, leaving touching marks on all those fortunate enough to share her table. And perhaps one of her sweetest pleasures was her fondness for chocolate, a small delight that she loved with a sense of joy that was uniquely hers.
Throughout her life, Sue was blessed with deep family bonds that sustained and uplifted her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Teresa Long of Rocky Face, who carries forward her mother’s legacy of love and warmth. Her great grandsons, Branndon Day and his wife, Sadi, of Chatsworth, and Austin Day and his wife, Alyssa, of Chatsworth, are living testaments to the enduring spirit Sue instilled in her family. Alongside them stand her dear sisters, Virginia Wimpy and Jerrie Evans, whose sisterly love provided a steadfast foundation throughout Sue’s journey.
Sue’s journey was also shaped by the memories of those who have passed before her, including her beloved parents, Fred and Gertrude Pangle, and her granddaughter, Misty Day. The bond she shared with her brothers, Pete and Franklin Pangle and sisters, Lola Duckett, Janett McTaggart, and Louise Johnson remain an eternal part of her story, treasured and remembered with love.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on June 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at her home. This gathering will honor her beautiful spirit and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her.
Sue Pangle Williamson’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and the quiet beauty of a life well-lived. She leaves behind a garden forever blooming with memories, a kitchen filled with the scent of home-cooked meals, and hearts warmed by her enduring presence. Though she has departed this world, the love she cultivated will continue to blossom, inspiring all who were blessed to know her.
