Tammy Christine Stewart, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 27, 2026. Born on February 14, 1966, in Dalton, Georgia, Tammy was a lifelong resident of Ringgold, where her deep devotion as a member of the Baptist faith shaped her compassionate spirit and kind heart.
Tammy was a faithful, retired employee of Shaw Industries, where she worked with unwavering dedication. Her career was marked by commitment and steadfastness, qualities that mirrored her approach to life itself. Being born on Valentine’s Day, Tammy was a radiant embodiment of love, overflowing abundantly in all her relationships. She was her husband, Jerry Stewart’s guiding light, the North Star to her sons, Chris and Casey Wimberly, and the morning sun for her beloved grandchildren, Hailey, Boo, Jace, Kylee, Crystal, and Jazzlyn. Her love was a luminous glow that she reflected off herself onto everyone fortunate enough to be around her.
Her family was everything to Tammy. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jerry Stewart, her two sons, Chris (Terena) Wimberly of Ringgold and Casey (Mandy) Wimberly of Dalton, and her cherished grandchildren. Tammy also leaves behind her brother, Wayne Jackson and sister, Pamela Breedlove of Ringgold, alongside many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was also the proud protector and companion to her beloved fur baby, Coco.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Crystal Barnes and Bill Jackson, as well as her siblings, Dale, Carl, and Malinda Jackson. Their memories live on, cherished and held close in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation to honor Tammy’s life will be held on April 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Dalton Funeral Home, located at 620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721. A graveside service will follow at Faith Worship Center Cemetery in Chatsworth, GA, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Through these services, friends and family will gather to celebrate a life defined by warmth, kindness, and an endless capacity to love. Tammy Christine Stewart’s legacy is one of light carried gently in the hearts of those she loved so deeply, a beacon that will continue to inspire and guide all who were blessed to know her. Though she has gone from this earthly realm, the love she gave will shine eternally.
