Terry Ray Phillips, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at his residence in Dalton, Georgia. Born on February 10, 1968, in Chatsworth, Georgia, Terry’s life was marked by his joyful spirit and a genuine love for the outdoors.

Terry embraced life with a happy go-lucky attitude that endeared him to all who knew him. He found great pleasure in fishing and spending time outside, activities that reflected his deep appreciation for nature. Known among friends and family for his skillful dart throws and knack for pool, he brought enthusiasm and fun to every game.

His career within the construction industry demonstrated his strong work ethic and commitment to contributing meaningfully to his community. Terry’s hands built and shaped environments, much like the way he shaped the lives of those around him with kindness and warmth.

He is survived by his beloved companion of 17 years, Tammy Chadwick, whose partnership was a source of great comfort and joy. His children, Jacob (Misty) Phillips, Josh (Nichole) Phillips, and Brittany Jones, carry forward his legacy. Terry’s sister, Kristina Byers, father, Donald Phillips, and his extended family including uncles, Jimmy Horne and Jerry Phillips, aunt, Thera Phillips, as well as grandchildren Jezzlyn, Bentley, and Emma Hudgins, remember him with profound affection. The family also cherishes the memories of Ceaser, his beloved dog, who remained by his side through many cherished moments.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Charolotte Phillips, grandparents, Eloise and Lester Horne, as well as his uncle, Lloyd Hobgood, whose memories remain a treasured part of his family’s history.

Friends and family are invited to honor Terry’s life with a visitation at Dalton Funeral Home, located at 620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, Georgia, 30721, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 1, 2026. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 6:00 PM.

Through all seasons of life, Terry Ray Phillips remained a man whose presence was uplifting and whose spirit was unyielding.
