Thomas Edward “Eddie” Dunn, lovingly known by many as “Fish,” age 66, of Tunnel Hill, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, surrounded by his friends and family at his bedside at Hamilton Medical Center. Eddie’s gentle spirit, friendly nature, and willingness to help anyone in need made him a beloved presence in the community.

Eddie worked for many years at Helton Tires under Leon Helton, where he was known for his hard work, reliability, and the easy kindness he showed to customers and coworkers alike. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and took pride in lending a hand wherever he could. Eddie had one of the kindest souls, almost too friendly, as those who knew him often joked, and his good-hearted nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Catriana Pearson Dunn, who stood faithfully by his side throughout their life together.

Eddie leaves behind his special cousins, Willie Dunn, Steve (Lisa) Spence, Karen Dutton, and Jason Long, along with many other relatives including nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Dunn, and Hazel Clark Dunn, his sister, Carol Dunn.

Eddie’s life was defined by generosity, loyalty, and a gentle spirit that made people feel seen and cared for. Whether you knew him as Eddie or “Fish,” his kindness will continue to echo through the lives he touched.
