Thomas Arvil Ross, age 63, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. He was born on June 9, 1951 in Blue Ridge, GA. Thomas loved his family. He enjoyed being a member of the Crown View Baptist Church and he loved his church family. He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Frances Ross; and his mother, Hattie Gray Ross. Thomas is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Nancy Ross of Tunnel Hill, GA and William and Linda Ross of Etowah, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Gene Guy of Epworth, GA; special aunt, Annie Mae Whitmore; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Thomas Arvil Ross will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 20147 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother David Friend and Brother Brian Whitmore officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6:00 – 9:00 Pm on Thursday evening.
