Titus Mullins, born November 1, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family. A man whose heart beat in sync with the rhythm of both music and nature, Titus lived a life marked by devotion, joy, and a quiet strength that touched those around him deeply.
For many years, Titus dedicated his career to maintenance in the textile industry, where his steady hands and diligent spirit ensured the seamless flow of work, embodying a quiet pride in the craft that sustained his community. Yet, it was beyond the walls of his profession where his true legacy blossomed, in the embrace of family, friendship, and the simple, yet profound, pleasures he held dear.
Titus was a devoted husband to Judith Mullins, his steadfast companion through the seasons of life, sharing with each other a love that was as gentle as it was enduring. His heart found endless joy in the company of his little dogs, Chantelle and Star, whose companionship filled his days with warmth and laughter. He cherished the tender moments sitting with his father, Deaton Mullins (now deceased), his brother, and nephew Matthew, along with his cousin Keith, where hours slipped away filled with the sounds of their voices singing and the melodies of his guitar and banjo. These family gatherings were sacred to him, a tapestry woven with music, laughter, and tradition, treasured beyond measure.
A lifelong football fan, Titus’s spirit soared with every game, faithfully cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans. His passion for sports was a thread connecting him to friends and family, a source of spirited conversation and camaraderie that enlivened every season.
Gardening was yet another of Titus’s great loves. Each year, he eagerly anticipated planting his vegetable garden, nurturing his tomatoes with the same care and dedication that defined his approach to everything in life. Watching those tomatoes grow, large, robust, and vibrant, was a source of immense pride and a beautiful metaphor for the nurturing soul he was.
Titus’s family was the cornerstone of his existence. He was the son of Dorothy Huff Mullins; a beloved husband to Judith; father to Crystal Mullins, and a father who mourned dearly for Curt Mullins and Angel Delight Mullins, both of whom have passed. The generations that followed bore his imprint lovingly: his grandchildren Trey McMahan and Inyiah Baxter, and his great-grandchildren Carter Mullins, Collin Mullins, Gianna McMahan, and Brianne. He was also deeply connected to his siblings, Diane Martin, Wanda Hudson, Bobbie Jean Parks, and Charity Hall, and held all these ties close to his heart.
The loss of Skylar McMahan, his grandson who predeceased him, brother, Mark Mullins, and his father, Deaton Mullins, brought moments of sorrow amidst the joys he found in family gatherings and shared memories.
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., friends and loved ones will gather at Dalton Funeral Home, located at 620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA, for a visitation to honor Titus’s memory. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, a time to celebrate the life of a man whose presence was a wellspring of love and quiet strength.
Titus Mullins’s life was a mosaic of love, music, sports, and the nurturing of earth and kin. In every moment he lived authentically, joyfully, and with a steadfast heart. Though he has left this world, the echoes of his laughter, the strum of his strings, and the fruits of his garden remain enduring legacies, blessings that will continue to enrich the lives of all who knew him.
