Mr. Toby Chastain, age 80, of Dalton, GA passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was born on December 27, 1941. He was preceded in death by his father, Ulis Chastain; mother and stepfather, Syble (Cliff) Olsen; sister and brother in law, Mary (Charlie) Pritchett; brothers and sister in law, Sam (Annie) Chastain and Paul Chastain; sister in law, Betty Chastain; and great grandchild, Remnington Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Chastine; children, Pepsi (Shannon) Chastine, Brandan (Wendee) Chastine, and Jason (Brandi) Chastine all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Cody (Sidney) Caldwell of Adairsville, GA, Lexi (Colton) Cross of Ringgold, GA, Jordan (Jarrett) Ellis of Adairsville, GA, Presley Chastine of Dalton, GA, Afton (Asher) Sullivan of Calhoun, GA, Jaycee (Ricky) Gazaway of Rocky Face, GA, Chandler Chastine of Dalton, GA, Kollin Chastine of Dalton, GA, Camden Machoka of Dalton, GA, Jager Chastine of Dalton, GA, brother and sister in law, Buddy (Shelia) Chastain of Cohutta, GA; and 12 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Toby Chastain will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at McFarland Hills Baptist Church with Bro. David Green officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home. There will be an additional visitation from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with the celebration of life service at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at McFarland Hills Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Kollin Chastine, Camden Machoka, Ricky Gazaway, Colton Cross, Presley Chastine, and Caleb Chastain. Honorary pallbearers will be Jager Chastine, Cody Caldwell, and Asher Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, the family of Mr. Chastain has requested donations be made to the McFarland Hills Baptist Church building fund.
