Troy Wells, age 90, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1932. He was a lifelong member of the Church of God of The Union Assembly and was an ordained Deacon. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ivy Oneita "Askew" Wells; parents, Thomas Henry and Cornelia "Cash" Wells; daughter, Dorothy Singleton; brothers, Wesley Wells, Sam Wells, Lewis Wells; sisters, Mae Woodard, Willie Lancaster, Della Tutt, Adeline Faulknor. He is survived by his son in-law, Loyd Singleton; grandchildren, TaLena Smith, ReNa Carver, Shanda and Jesse Bryson, Kevin and Amy Hall, Herbie and LaShanda Singleton, Paul and Lulu Singleton, Chanler and Heather Singleton; seventeen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friends. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Troy Wells will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Starnes officiating. Interment will be held at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
