Viola E. Trammell, age 60, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 surrounded by her loving friends and family. She was born on December 7, 1953 in Calhoun, Georgia, to John and Inez Hughes. Viola was preceded in death by her son, Steven Jeffery Mills; brother, Robbie Hughes; sisters, Dorothy Hughes, Villa Mae Waters, Kathy Hughes, JoAnn Hughes and Betty Sue Hughes. She is survived by her husband Billy R. Trammell; sons, Tim Mills and Billy Trammell Jr.; daughters, Edna Watkins and Sherry Trammell; parents, John and Inez Hughes; brothers, Johnny Hughes, James Hughes, Will Hughes, Raymond Hughes and Ronnie Hughes; sisters, Mary Holcomb, Patty Ashe, Nancy Brewer, Darlene Grizzell and Tammy Jones; 16 grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Viola E. Trammell will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Nick Sergeant and Bro. Donny Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at Lonesome Dove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6:00 – 9:00 PM on Saturday evening.
