Virginia Jo Runyan, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was born on March 27, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Runyan; son, Floyd "Leslie" Runyan; parents, Gault and Gretchen Ellis; and brother, Larmar Ellis and sister in-law, Peggy Ellis. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sandra Runyan; grandchildren, Regina and David McNeese, Joshua and Tarrie Runyan; great grandchildren, Taylor Runyan, Kayla and Andrew Ballew, Andrew McNeese; great great grandchildren, Kensli Ballew, Jase Ballew, Cody Davis; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Virginia Jo Runyan will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor John Dotson and Pastor Daryl Ballew officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening.
