Virginia Bagley Stinson

Virginia Bagley Stinson, age 91, of Cohutta, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Center for Advanced Rehab at Parkside, surrounded by her loving family. 

Mrs. Stinson was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was the owner of Kitty Kasual for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Albert” Stinson, who was the former Pastor of Little Prospect Baptist Church; her parents, Lloyd and Lois (West) Bagley; her brother, Olin Bagley; and her sisters, Mary Huffstetler and Gertrude Lokey. She is survived by her beloved son, Rick Stinson of Cohutta; cherished granddaughters, Stephanie (Jeff) Nguyen of Athens, AL, Lindsey Crystal Smiddy of Ardmore, AL; and five adoring great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services for Virginia will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Crider, Rev. Gladen Coe and Rev. Neal Hasty officiating. The family will gather with friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Due to the heat, the Committal Service will be held inside the church following the ceremony. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
