Walter Lenard Maddox, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born on July 13, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ross and Willie Mae Maddox; brother, Henry Weatherby; sister-in-law, Betty Maddox; niece and nephew, Carla and Randall Willingham. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Bobby James; brother, John Harry Maddox and his children and their spouses, Tracy and Karen Maddox, James and Heidi Maddox, Carl and Rosie Maddox, Linda and Julian Naylor, David and Shannah Maddox; host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins. Walter will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery on Nance Springs Road with a graveside service at 12:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2023.
