Walter Richard (Ricky) Fowler, age 75, of Resaca, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021. He was born on July 23, 1946. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Clarence Fowler and Robbie Lou "Wilbanks" Fowler; infant sister, Betty June Fowler; brothers, Jimmie and Gerald (GZ) Fowler; great grandson, Carsten Jackson; mother and father-in-law, Rev. Vernon and Kate Hawkins; brother-in-law, Clarence Harris; and sister-in-law, Glenda Fowler. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Pat) Hawkins Fowler of Resaca; daughters, Missy (Billy) Mezick of Resaca and Melane (Chuck) Jackson of Dalton; son, Todd Fowler of Resaca, sister, Bobbye Harris of Calhoun; brother, Larry Fowler of Adairsville; sister-in-laws, Trish Fowler of Canton and Lynn Reynolds; brother-in-law, David Reynolds; grandchildren, Chaz (Candace) Mezick, Megan (Andrew Cochran) Mezick, Savanna (Cody) Withrow, Korey (Shannon) Fowler, Harley Jackson, Kelby Mezick, Paisley Jackson; great grandchildren, Walt and Levi Mezick, Cashton and Cennox Withrow, and Adley Kate Jackson. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Dalton Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Walter Richard (Ricky) Fowler will be at 3:00 on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Pastor Jule Medders and Frank Brown will be officiating. Interment will be at Chandler Cemetery. The family wants to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice.
