Waltraud Reisser Glaze, age 80, of Dalton, Ga., passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. She was born in Heilbronn, West Germany on July 26, 1943. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Glaze; parents, Erich and Emma Reisser; sister, Usch Waltheir; grandchild, Robert Williams. She is survived by her sons, Richard Glaze and his wife Janet of Millbrook, John Glaze and his wife Sue of Rome Ga.; daughter, Christina Glaze of Dalton; sister, Sigi Weiland of Germany; grandchildren, Michelle Glaze, Brynnan Glaze, Matthew Morgan, Michael Glaze, Meghan Glaze, Kristy Smith, Philip Johnson, Benjamin Williams; great grandchildren, Liam Johnson, Caylee Pettus, Zayden Morgan, Dylan Safley, Parker Safley, Railey Smith, Avery Smith, Rory Smith. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Waltraud Reisser Glaze will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Hwy. Trussville, Alabama 35173; with Pastor Mark Amspaugh officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
