Wayne Franklin Ackerman II, age 70, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was born on September 4, 1943 in Sandusky, OH. He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne F. Ackerman Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Beverly Ackerman of Tunnel Hill; son, Wayne Ackerman III of Chattanooga; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Kendall Cooper of Ringgold, Melissa and Marvin Craig of Tunnel Hill, Shelly and Gary Wilbanks of Rossville; mother, Avalon Taylor of Ooltewah, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Sandy Ackerman of Edison, OH, Dale and Patricia Taylor of Apison, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Gale and Dennis Whidden of Ooltewah, TN; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Wayne Franklin Ackerman II will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Keith Baptist Church with James Langston officiating. Interment will follow at Keith Baptist Church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 AM till the hour of service.
