Wayne Joseph Dixon, age 82, of Dalton, GA passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. He was born on October 9, 1939. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Johnson" Dixon; his parents, Alvin and Annie Mae "Dobson" Dixon; daughter, Desiree Phillips; brother, Harry Dixon. He is survived by his sons, Gary Dixon of Florence, AL, Michael Dixon of Dalton, Tim Dixon of Opelika, FL.; daughters, Jennifer and Keith Anderson of Dalton, Allison Whittle of Dalton, Karen and Joey Truesdale of Dalton; brother, Kenneth and Joan Dixon of VA.; step-children, Kay Johnson, Jim and Regina Johnson; grandchildren, Anna, Christopher, Sarah, Tim, Brittany, Heather, Mallory, Christa, Tripp, Maddie, Brady, Kayleigh, Koleton Kamden, Kylie; step-grandchildren, Haley and Hannah; several Great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wayne Joseph Dixon will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2022 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Dixon and Bro. Kenneth Dixon officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
