Mr. Wilburn Rice Jr., age 88, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was born on September 15, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Rice Sr. and Pearl "Wilson" Rice; brothers, Leon Rice, James Rice, Doyle Rice, and Don Rice; and sister, Virginia Rice. He is survived by his spouse, Versell Rice of Dalton; daughter, Pam (Rice) Burnette of Dalton; son in law, Keith Burnette of Dalton; sister, Mary Lou Stoker of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Miriam Burnette, Cole Burnette, and SarahJ Burnette. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wilburn Rice Jr. will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2022 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Raymond McCranie and Phil Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Dalton Funeral Home.
