William Eugene Cox, age 93, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019. He was born on January 21, 1926. Mr. Cox, a life-long Georgia resident, was a Marine combat veteran of World War II (Iwo Jima), and a retired railroad worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Cox and Effie Nail Cox; as well as his wife, Mildred Cox; his siblings, Edward Cox and Frances Cox Farina. Mr. Cox is survived by his nephews, Phillip Farina of Winnetka, Illinois, William Farina of Evanston, Illinois, and Joseph Farina of New Buffalo, Michigan; as well as his great nieces, Ariana Farina of Santa Monica, California, and Lara Farina of Oahu, Hawaii.
