Mr. William Richard Grant Sr., age 90, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. Mr. Grant was born September 17, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elbert Grant and Addie Swanson Grant; son Douglas Alan Rogers; brother Gary Grant; sisters Kathleen Grant, Joan Grant Cross, and sister- in- Law Wanda Grant. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jo Grant, sons Richard Grant (Gail); Duane Rogers (Martha); brothers Terry Grant; Danny Grant (Phyllis); sister Belinda Ballew (Raymond); grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers Bonds (Jason), Jeremy Rogers (Heather), Chandler Grant (Morgan Ferrell), Hannah Grant (Randsom Mark), Zachary Kinsey and Kayla Kinsey, Richard Bubba Rogers (Shannon), Rodney Rogers (Tiffanie), Emily Rogers; great grandchildren Jace Kinsey, Brylee Kinsey Layten Kinsey, and Lyrik Kinsey, Serenity, Christopher, William, Jayme, Hunter, Mason and Kayleigh Rogers; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. William R. Grant Sr. will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Clark officiating. Interment will be at West Hill cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 3:00 pm to 5:00pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
