Winford "Erve" McConnell, age 88, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was born on January 23, 1935. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jay McConnell and Faye 'Barrett' McConnell; son, Michael McConnell. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Denise 'Lawson' McConnell; his son, Rick (Leah) McConnell; his daughter, Tammy (Jeff) McRae; his step-daughter, Emily Hyde; his brother, Buck McConnell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Gospel Light Tabernacle at 804 Sheridan Drive in Dalton, Georgia, with Pastor James Whaley and Pastor C.L. Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Gospel Light Tabernacle.
