TIM ROWE

Owner & Co-Founder

Tim Rowe is the Co-Founder and Owner of Dalton Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of the Gordon and Whitfield County communities, Tim has dedicated more than 30 years to the funeral profession and takes great pride in serving the families of the area he has long called home.

Tim is deeply committed to his community and is actively involved in several local organizations. He serves as a Diplomat with the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Carpet City Rotary Club and the Dalton Civitan Club. Through these organizations, Tim enjoys building meaningful relationships and supporting the community.

As Co-Founder and Owner of Dalton Funeral Home, Tim is committed to creating a funeral home where families are treated with compassion, dignity, and personal attention. He believes in the importance of being there for families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives and takes great pride in the team and service Dalton Funeral Home provides.

Outside of funeral service and his community involvement, Tim enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

DANIEL PARRISH

Senior Funeral Director

Daniel has been with Dalton Funeral Home for 12 years after retiring from H.M. Patterson Funeral Home in Atlanta and Roswell Funeral Homes with over 40 years’ experience. He is a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in
Atlanta. He is a veteran of the US Army serving in Germany for most of his career. He is a native of Lakeland, Georgia and lives in Ellijay, Georgia. He has 3 sons and 8 grandchildren.

CHRISTINA IBARRA

Office Manager

Christina was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I'm the youngest of five siblings and have been married to Jesus for 30 years with two wonderful children. In 2006, my family and I moved to Dalton, Georgia, where we built a beautiful life and accomplished many of our goals. I am grateful for my family, my journey, and all the blessings along the way.

I am proud to be part of the funeral home team, where I have the opportunity to serve families during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I value compassion, professionalism, and helping others, As a bilingual English and Spanish speaker, I am grateful for the opportunity to assist and communicate with everyone and make a difference in my community.

CHAZ MEZICK

Funeral Director, Embalmer, Preneed Specialist

Chaz Mezick is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and preneed specialist,
holding professional licensure in several states, and is a proud graduate of John A.
Gupton College in Nashville. Originally from Calhoun, Georgia, Chaz has built his
career on serving families with compassion, professionalism, and integrity. He and
his wife, Candace, spent several years in Iowa operating small-town funeral
homes together before returning home to Georgia. Grateful to be back in the
community where his journey began, Chaz continues his calling in funeral service
while enjoying life with Candace and their two sons, Walt and Levi. Outside of his
work, he is a devoted Alabama fan who never misses a game.

BEN THOMISON

Apprentice Funeral Dirctor, Embalmer

Ben Thomison is a funeral service apprentice with Dalton Funeral Home and is pursuing his education in mortuary science at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in the Atlanta area. He is committed to building a career centered on compassion, dignity, and serving families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Prior to entering funeral service, Ben served in the United States military, including service in Iraq. Following his military service, he spent more than 15 years in operations and leadership roles, where he developed a strong foundation in service, responsibility, and leading others through challenging situations. He now brings those experiences to funeral service as he works toward becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

Ben calls Dalton, Georgia home and has been married since 2017. He and his wife have a busy household with their four children and niece. Outside of work and school, Ben values spending time with his family and being part of the Northwest Georgia community he is proud to call home.

BILLY STARKS

Family Care Assistant

Billy has been a funeral assistant for many years at Dalton Funeral Home and is a native of Dalton, GA. He is married to Diane over 35 years and they have 2 daughters, Amanda Starks and Sarah Hartman and a two grandchildren. Billy attends Harmony Grove Baptist Church where he has been a lifelong member.

JESUS IBARRA (CHUY)

Cemetery Services, Facilities & Spanish Family Liaison

Chuy is a native of Los Angeles, California, and now resides in Dalton, Georgia. With many years of experience in funeral and cemetery service, Chuy plays an important role in supporting families and ensuring that every detail of their loved one’s final arrangements is handled with care, respect, and professionalism.

Chuy specializes in cemetery services, including the opening and closing of graves, setting and servicing monuments, gravesite maintenance, and preparing burial areas. He also oversees the maintenance and upkeep of funeral home facilities, helping ensure that our property remains clean, well maintained, and welcoming to the families we serve.

In addition to his cemetery and facility responsibilities, Chuy serves as an important resource for our Spanish-speaking families. His ability to communicate in Spanish allows him to assist families, provide guidance, and help ensure they feel comfortable and supported throughout the funeral and cemetery process.

Chuy takes great pride in his work and understands the importance of caring for every gravesite and family with dignity and attention to detail.

Chuy is married to Christina, and together they have two children, Esteban and Estefanie. He is a parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Outside of work, Chuy enjoys spending time with his family and is a passionate fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

DONALD JONES

Family Care Assistant

Donald is a native of Whitfield County. A graduate of North Whitfield High School and attended Dalton Jr. College. He has been married since 1980, and he and his wife have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. He is a licensed insurance agent specializing in life insurance and retirement plans. His hobbies include travel, reading and model trains.

ROBERT CHAMBERS

Retired Co-President

Robert is enjoying his retirement after 15 years of service with Dalton Funeral Home.

Robert serves as a Family Counselor for Dalton Funeral Home. He is originally from Huntsville, Tennessee but has resided in the Murray/Whitfield County area for most of his life. He and his wife Sandy have been married for 53 years and are active in Central Community Church in Chatsworth. Robert is a veteran of the US Army and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War and is a member of the American Legion. Robert has been in the funeral profession for more than thirty years.
